Dear Friends,
The holiday season is upon us! Puget Sound Fire, IAFF Local 1747 and the Puget Sound Firefighters Foundation are once again helping families in need in the communities of Covington, Kent, Maple Valley, SeaTac, Tukwila, and King County Fire Districts #37 and #43.
Toys for Joy is an annual program where new, unwrapped toys for children up to 12 years of age are collected, sorted, wrapped, and delivered to local food banks and outreach programs for distribution to families in need within Puget Sound Fire’s response area. In addition to toys, non-perishable food, and monetary donations are also accepted and will go towards helping families within the communities we serve.
There are multiple options for you to help join in and help:
1. Collect toys at your location. - We can pick them up from you or you can deliver them to any one of Puget Sound Fire’s 17 fire stations between November 1 and December 20. We can provide you with an age group to shop for if you need ideas. Find our station locations at pugetsoundfire.org/about/fire-station-locations.
2. Collect money. - We can do the shopping for you! Monetary donations are being accepted by the Puget Sound Firefighters Foundation through December 20. Donate through this page or text TOYS4JOY to 366283.
3. Choose a day to come to Puget Sound Fire Station 75 and sort or wrap toys for kids. Toy sorting events are December 4 and 16 from 6:00-8:00pm. Toy wrapping events are December 11 and 18 from 6:00-8:00pm. These events are open to the public, and due to their popularity, reservations are required. We hope you join us!
Sincerely,
Puget Sound Firefighters Foundation
